Mrs. Allard spent 15 years in the courtrooms of San Diego County as a deputy district attorney handling thousands of cases and prosecuted 75 jury trials and hundreds of court trials involving child molestation, rape, juvenile deliquency, fraud, driving under the influence, domestic violence, robbery, carjacking, assault, terrorist threat, stalking, and drug possession.

Spending six years in the Vista Family Protection Division and three years in the Juvenile Division she specialized in cases involving young victims. She is an expert in the area of child molest cases and internet crimes against children, and her relentless pursuit of these predators was matched only by her compassion for the victims of their crimes and their families. Before graduating from California Western School of Law in 1992, Mrs. Allard was a journalist, a public relations staffer for the San Diego Chargers, and a writer for the White House during the Reagan Administration. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame's Great Books Program in 1987 and grew up in north San Diego County. Outside of her law practice, Ms. Allard is currently an associate professor at Mira Costa College in the Administration of Justice Program.
