Mara Allard spent fifteen years in the courtrooms of San Diego County as a Deputy District Attorney, handling thousands of cases. In that time she has prosecuted seventy-five jury trials, and hundreds of court trials involving everything from terrorist threats and drug possession, to robbery and domestic violence. Since leaving the District Attorney’s office Mara has focused her practice on business litigation including commercial real estate disputes. And while her business clients entail the majority of her discipline, she continues to provide legal assistance families of children with disabilities and young victims of sexual or physical child abuse.

Ms. Allard graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1987, and received her law degree from California Western School of law in 1992. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mara held positions as a journalist, a public relations staffer for the San Diego Chargers, and a writer for the White House during the Reagan Administration. Mara grew up in North County San Diego, and is currently an Associate Professor in the Administration of Justice Program at Mira Costa College. Ms. Allard has developed specialty areas assisting families advocate for their children's needs and holding educational instutions to account for the protection and education of the individual child.
